Kettlebells
What is it?
Developed in Russia, kettlebells is a mix of strength & cardio work. It’s a great way to improve your overall strength & fitness while listening to great music
Will I be able to do it?
Yes, the sessions are design for both beginners & the more experienced to be able to work together. You can start off doing exercises body weight or with a light dumbbell until you build your confidence & perfect your technique
What do I wear?
Workout clothes are best, t-shirt & shorts or tights which you can move comfortably in. Nothing too warm as you’ll soon be sweating. Sessions are normally done barefoot, in socks or in flat shoes (like Converse)
Do I need anything?
For the Zoom sessions, you’ll need a kettlebell, mat & foam roller. If you’re in the studio, all you’ll need is a drink.
Bootcamp
What is it?
It’s circuit type activities with a mix of cardio & body weight strength & conditioning. Think step drills, burpees, push ups, short sprints etc.
Will I be able to do it?
Yes, the sessions are design for both beginners & the more experienced to be able to work together. Everyone works at their own level & is better at different things (we can’t be good at everything). There’s a load of teamwork involved & a lot of laughing
What do I wear?
In autumn/ winter, it best to wear tights or leggings with a t-shirt & light jacket or jumper. You’ll warm up quickly. If it’s raining, you might want to bring a waterproof. Trainers are essential. In the spring/ summer, shorts & a vest top are good if you get hot easily.
Do I need to bring anything?
Your hands will most likely be on the ground or walls or benches so it’s a good idea to bring gloves. A drink is also advisable
Pilates

What do I wear?
Comfortable clothes which you can move easily in, it’s not the type of class you get sweaty in, but you don’t want anything too baggy as it’ll get in your way
Do I need anything?
If you’re doing the session via Zoom, you’ll need a mat & maybe a cushion or block for your head. If you’re in the studio, you’re welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer, however mats are provided
Running Coaching
What is it?
Individual coaching sessions & training plans designed to help you meet your specific running goals designed by an experienced & qualified UK Athletics Coach in Running Fitness
Is it for me?
Whether you’re training for your first 5K or wanting to improve your technique to reach your marathon time goal, I have experience of working with runners with a wide range of abilities & challenges. My experience in coaching runners combined with my fitness & movement knowledge allows me to create training plans & sessions to help you achieve your goals.
Training sessions can be as part of an overall training plan or done individually to assess running technique or to work on one aspect of your running.
Personal Training
What is it?
Specific one on one training sessions based on what you want to achieve.
What does that mean?
If you have a long term goal or an event more than 8 weeks away, I look at what you want to achieve, where you are now & plan how we’re going to get to your goal. I look at your strengths & weaknesses, what challenges you & what you enjoy to create the overall training plan. The overall training plan takes into account long it will take to achieve your goal/ event date & is then broken down into 8 week development & progression plans. From there each session is designed to develop & progress you to your goal
If you have a shorter term goal (less than 8 weeks) or just want a few sessions to kick start a fitness plan, we work with you to ensure you get everything you need from each session
How does it differ from group training?
Each session is designed specifically to help you reach not only your overall goal but your agreed progression markers (smaller benchmark goals). Your training is the sole focus of the session, it’s all about you & your training. Everything is designed to get you to help you achieve your goals.
It is possible to have personal training with a friend or family member if you have similar goals or just want to spend time together, the sessions will be designed for this
What can I expect?
All sessions are designed to progress you to your overall long term goal. Each session will be different. Your goals, events & ambitions will dictate what you do in the sessions.
Each session lasts an hour & you will be the only person training in the studio at that time
Depending on the session, some training may take place outdoors (weather dependant)
Each training session is unique to you
Integrated training plan- a complete overview of all of your training (personal training sessions, group sessions & your own training) with how it fits together to reach your goals (based on 8 week sign up)
Stats & measurement tracking including body fat %, weight, muscle mass % (optional)
Diet & nutrition advice (optional)
What do I need to do?
Be willing to share your goals & ambitions to allow us to create the best development programme for you to achieve.
What will my personal trainer do?
During your training session, your trainer will be focused on you & helping you complete the session to the very best of your ability. Each training session is planned & designed uniquely for you.
Create a programme specific to you, integrating your chosen bench markers e.g. body testing, fitness testing (based on 8 week sign up). This will be discussed with you & you will be given an overview copy & sent an updated copy with relevant bench markers
